Eva Longoria was born to father Enrique Longoria Jr. and Ella Eva Mireles. They hail from Mexican-American root. She was the youngest among their four daughters. Ironically, in the family, Eva was always considered as ‘ugly duckling’ and all her siblings used to tease her for her dark eyes, dark hair and dark skin.

After finishing her high school from Roy Miller High School, Eva Longoria took a degree in bachelor of science from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. But since she was inclined towards acting also, she took part and won the contest of “Miss Corpus Christi, USA” . After getting this immediate fame, Eva became more confident and moved to Los Angeles to fullfill the dreams of her life.

Eva Longoria started her career in acting with a small role in What the Rabbi Saw and then Beverly Hills, 90210. Then in turn she got one role in “General Hospital” but Eva got her big break through when she was selected to perform in American soap opera The Young and the Restless. In this Eva played the role of a psychotic character. This show gave her huge fame and established her in the industry, she was even listed for “Most beautiful People”.

After that Eva Longoria performed in show Dragnet, though this show lasted for only two seasons, but she was able to get a place in her fans’ heart. Then Eva performed in 2 small movies Senorita Justice and The Dead Will Tell. But the show which gave her a poistion in cream class of celebrities was ‘Desperate Housewives’ aired by ABC. Now offers started pouring in for her.

Eva Longoria did a role in Carlita's Secret movie, in this movie she was co-producer as well. In 2006, Eva acted in a lead role in movie “The Sentinel” with Michael Douglas and Kiefer Sutherland and then later in movie “Harsh Time”. Other than movies, she also appeared in Jessica Simpson video in 2006.

For her role in ‘Desparate Housewives’, Eva Longoria was nominated for Golden Globe Award. Though she was not able to win it but she successfully fetched ALMA Award being the entertainer of the year. Eva is the only women to be on #1 in Maxim “Hot 100” list for two consecutive year.

In personal life, Till now Eva Longoria has dated numerous men. In 2002 she married Tyler Christopher of General Hospital, but this marriage did not last long and they separated in 2004. Then from time to time Eva dated writer Milan Gracanin, SAG president Edward W V Stephens, actor Mousir Syed, NSYNC member JC Chasez, Life As We Know It star, Sean Faris but none of them could get a place in her heart. Currently Eva is dating with NBA star Tony Parker. They got engaged on November 30, 2006.
